Teen removed from home, after boxing video posted online.

A Virginia father who shot video of himself boxing his teenage son and posting it on social media is now facing charges in the case. The 17-year-old has also been removed from his father's house amid the investigation. The father says he was disciplining his child while also teaching him how to defend himself, but many questioned whether what he did was discipline or abuse. Tavis Sellers ( the father ) turned himself in to police in Prince William County early Friday morning. He faces charges including domestic assault and battery. He was released from jail Friday on $5,000 unsecured bond.

The father, who identified himself as TaDigs Ditches on Facebook, told FOX 5 he was ordered on Thursday to turn himself into the Prince William County Sheriff’s Office after he posted the video, which showed his son bloodied after the sparring. TaDigs said they are a boxing family and it is “no one's place to judge how he takes care of his business in his house.”

Is this discipline or abuse? Is this humiliation, or embarrassment? It depends on who you ask. In a world where fathers are scarce, and young men running a muck. Some people think we need more fathers like this in our young mens lives nowadays. I read a statement on fox5 that read. " He is not teaching the boy a lesson, except a lesson in humiliation." said Dr. Linda McGhee a clinical psychologist. In my world humiliation is making someone feel degraded or worthless, while embarrassment is simply the feeling of extreme self consciousness like being naked and feeling awkward because of it. I think that the father embarrassed his son and not humiliated him. But thats just my opinion leave yours in the comment section below.
