Man On A Mission

Cleveland is known for unique and conscious rappers such as Kid Cudi. Among the greatest is the upcoming artist, Okayche′ (IG: @theysayche) . His newest single “Tbh” showcases his eccentric flow and musical excellence. Instead of spitting about fast cars and quick cash, Okayche′ speaks of real things such as the peer pressure of fitting in and the lack thereof. The tempo of the song begins slow and reflective then increases into a semi-upbeat flow. This song reminded me of that one banger at the party everyone asks, “Who is that?” Okayche′ stands out to me because of how versatile his music can be. For example, his single “Calls” gives an island theme background with a hip-hop flair. The lyrics are more contemporary and repetitive, but I was still very impressed with the work. Okayche′ has established himself in both the local music and fashion scene. He has performed at the Odeon Concert Club and The House of Blues. He has also modeled for various artists throughout Cleveland such as Friskmegood Clothing and local artist ASLUR. Okayche′ is doing exciting things throughout Cleveland truly representing for his town.
