Why y’all Mad at Kanye West?

October , 11 2018 Entertainer and designer Kanye West executed a task that has caused him more controversy than any other thing he did. Kanye had a meeting with the POTUS Donald Trump. It’s obvious the world has viewed this twenty minute visual on all media outlets and are not in favor of the monumental meeting. Some inspiring professional men and women are so upset, they go so far as to insulting him and his character. Some also have been using his mental illness (bipolar) against him. They say the meeting resembled a “Minstrel” show. A Minstrel show is when Caucasian men and women entertained their kind while In black face and costume. These shows were originated back in the 1800’s and were basically making fun of African Americans. These shows labeled black people as lazy, bafoons, and ignorant. Don Lemon, news commentator for CNN labeled the meeting as a “Minstrel show”, along with stating that Kanye was being used for publicity and how he ( Kanye) needs to get away from cameras. Why should Kanye have to isolate himself and not exercise his right speech? What did he say that was ignorant, and what could he have been more educated on? Kanye West brought up some very valid and factual points that were obviously researched and stated correctly. West spoke about rebuilding mental health institutions in hopes of giving chance and opportunity to those who are living with any categorized mental disorder. He spoke about making America great again by bringing more jobs back to America so that many can have the income needed to better themselves and their lives. He also believes that if Americans had jobs, them there would be a decrease in crime and incarceration. West spoke of potential innovative aircraft (hydrogen airplane). He spoke about improving the curriculum in American schools that helps educate on the importance of mental wellness, advance technology, and classes that challenges children who are bored with our traditional school system. He even spoke about justice reform, by using Larry Hover as an example. He feels that we need to bring the positive community influencer home so that he can help motivate and continue the plan of teaching the black community. It saddens many to see how our own people dismiss him, and suggest he isolate himself. It’s a reality check for some of us to witness many African American profound commentators call him names and belittle his thought process and vision. Why not try to get to know him, or at least listen to understand? Calling your own kind harsh names, because he has a different vision than what society wants him to have is what I call tearing down your own kind. Kanye West simply wants to spread love across the world in order to make America great again, provide opportunity to prevent crimes, and incorporate mental wellness and innovative classes within the school systems so that kids won’t be labeled as having a learning disorder because they are bore led with their “easy” classes. I see no wrong within what Kanye West is trying to do, and I support him all the way. How would you feel if he was able to influence the POTUS to do these things for the black community in order to better us? I Speak only for myself when I say I’m in support of all things that are Kanye West, to me he is a genius.
